Early Childhood Music Educator (Outstation)

Job Description:

  1. Responsibilities
  • Attend Teacher’s training conducted by The Music Scientist or by other Early Childhood and Music Institutes
  • Resources and material preparation for the purpose of lesson execution.
  • Implement Music, Movement and Sensory/Science & Preschool Ready English/Chinese programmes curated by The Music Scientist for children of ages infants to 6 years old.
  • Demonstration of visual performances/storytelling with given props and resources.
  • Guide the students to the instrument, percussion and prop play; dance movements; crafts and hands-on cognitive activities;
  • Photo taking of students during activities;
  • Provide assessment report of the students’ progress (template of assessment criteria will be given);
  • Build good relations and rapport with preschools’ principals and teachers;
  • Travel to The Music Scientist’s centre for collection of teaching resources; &
  • Travel to assigned preschools with all required teaching resources
  1. Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Good command of English and/or Chinese
  • Confident and good in singing, able to sing to pitch
  • With dance background preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in teaching music and movement at enrichment centers or preschools preferred
  • ABRSM Grade 3 to 5 in Music Theory and/or Practical preferred
  • Outgoing personality
  • Must have genuine love for young children
  • Exercise creativity in conducting interesting lessons for children
  • Willingness to travel to different locations of preschools
