Infant Care Classes and Sensory Development

Tenderfeet

For 4 to 17 Months Old
Laying the Groundwork for a Lifetime of Learning

Our infant care classes tap into the innate curiosity of children by encouraging them to explore their environment under close supervision. Since majority of the brain's synaptic connections are formed during the first few years of life, our classes begin at 4 months to harness this unique window of opportunity. At this phase, the brain is highly receptive to stimuli so our activities aim to support the firing of synapses, promoting cognitive, emotional, and social development.

Our Focus

  • Multi-Sensory Approach

Through play, children seamlessly integrate their senses to make sense of the world around them. Our approach extends to vital vestibular stimulation to create neural pathways that are essential for lifelong learning

  • Social Development

Our classes encourage interaction with teachers and other children in a safe environment. Here, they pick up important social skills like sharing, resolving conflict, problem-solving, kindness and empathy.

  • Language and Cognitive Development

Through educational visual performances, we expose children to make sense of themes, spark curiosity and develop various skill sets. Singing during musical activities also encourages verbalisation to build the child’s vocabulary.

  • Parent-Child Bonding

Our activities are meticulously designed to cultivate trust and enhance parent-child attachment. Immerse yourself in enjoyable and purposeful methods to foster effective bonds between parent and child, The strategies grasped extend beyond our centre and can be seamlessly replicated at home.

What Parents Are Saying

Have been sending my 2 kids to Music Scientist since they were under 1yo. My kids love the classes. They also listen to the songs on repeat during the week. The themes change every 4 to 5 weeks so it's never boring. With every theme they come up with some new performance or light show or something interactive to capture the kid's attention and imagination. The teachers are very caring and attentive. As a parent, I love seeing my kids enjoy and learn and I cherish the chance to do something fun with them weekly. Highly recommend!

My child has been attending classes at The Music Scientist since he was 11 months and we really loved the activities conducted! Our little ones get to exercise and develop motor skills, sense of balance and spatial orientation through multi-sensory play that arouses rapid brain development! I bet my child’s favourite must be percussion instrument exploration.

We have been sending our girl to the Music Scientist for 2yrs. We started when she was 10mtbs old, and she is coming to 3 now. Our child looks forward excitedly to her Music Scientist class every week. This is because the lessons are designed to encourage interaction with the accompanying parent, and to stimulate her senses. The curriculum is well tailored to suit the developing needs of the child. For infants, the focus was on motor skills (e.g hitting of drums) and creating a passion for music. For toddlers, they reinforced this passion through gradually introducing musical notes; developing a stronger sense of rhythm and they started incorporating scientific concepts into the themes. As for me and my wife, we take turns each week to accompany our child to class and bond with her.

My son loves classes there. Although he is only 10 months old, he is able to recognize the escalator to the place and squeals with delight whenever we are on it. He enjoys the instruments utilised in class and the interactive activities e.g. tracking bubbles and ‘flying’ in air. Mummy and daddy find the classes fun too.
